Convivio del Vino will kick off with a dinner showcasing four storied names of Piedmont - Giuseppe Rinaldi, Bartolo Mascarello, Giacomo Conterno, and Bruno Giacosa. Guests will enjoy a fantastic selection of top vintages from these coveted Barolo estates, including wines from the 1970’s and 1980’s, all sourced from the pristine cellars of The Rare Wine Co. The wines will be paired with a tasting menu from Chef Daniel Boulud at his recently opened La Tête d’Or, a New York steakhouse with Chef Boulud’s signature French flair.

This special dinner celebrates the resilience and unity of four remarkable winemaking families who have carried their legacies forward, generation after generation. Despite changing times and external influences, these families remain steadfast in preserving their heritage while embracing fresh perspectives for the future. Maria Niedrist, daughter of Ignaz Niedrist in Alto Adige, Teho Zierock, son of Elisabetta Foradori in the Italian Dolomites, Rocco Sanjust, son of Luca Sanjust of Petrolo in Tuscany’s Val d’Arno, and the Penna-Currado family of the Langhe will share their inspiring stories. Together, they present an extraordinary lineup of wines that honor their past and look boldly ahead, alongside a tasting menu from Chef Jassimran Singh at Crown Shy.
